SMS Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 29 September 2026
These terms cover messages sent by Sepia Labs LLC about your Sepia account. Businesses that use Sepia to message their own clients send under their own name and their own terms — see “Messages from businesses that use Sepia” below.
Program description
Sepia Labs LLC sends SMS and MMS messages for account and customer-care purposes: account notices, security and sign-in alerts, billing and payment notifications, service updates, support replies, and one-to-one business communication with people who have requested contact or have an active relationship with us.
Consent to receive messages
By providing your mobile number and opting in — by submitting a form, requesting contact, or enabling text notifications in your account — you agree to receive text messages from Sepia Labs LLC related to your request, your account, or our business relationship.
Consent is not a condition of any purchase and is not required to use Sepia. You can create an account, receive email, and use the platform without agreeing to text messages.
How you opt in
You opt in on our web forms, at the moment you provide your phone number — account signup, booking confirmations, event RSVPs, and contact forms. Every such form shows the consent disclosure beside the phone field. You will then receive account, billing, service, and customer-support messages from Sepia Labs LLC. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. If you have previously opted out, you can re-subscribe at any time by replying START — re-subscription is the only thing the keyword does; the opt-in itself always happens on a form. The program is documented in full at sepialabs.ai/sms.html and on the opt-in documentation page.
Opt-in message
Sepia: You are now opted in to receive account, billing, and service-related text messages. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out.
Opt out
You can cancel at any time by replying STOP. After you reply STOP we may send one final confirmation:
Sepia: You have been opted out and will no longer receive text messages. Reply START to opt back in.
Help
For help, reply HELP or email info@sepialabs.ai. We may reply:
Sepia: For help, email info@sepialabs.ai. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
Account texts from Sepia Labs (toll-free)
If you run a Sepia workspace, you can choose to receive texts about your own Sepia account from our toll-free number (855) 629-9802: a confirmation when you turn them on, one reminder if your workspace setup isn't finished, and an alert if the card for your Sepia subscription is declined. Nothing else is sent from this number — no marketing.
You opt in on a web form inside Sepia — the Texting step of account setup, or Settings → Notifications — by entering your mobile number and ticking an unticked box beside the consent disclosure. The number is optional, and nothing is sent without the tick. Change the number or turn the texts off in Settings → Notifications, or reply STOP to any of them. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Every message we send is shown at sepialabs.ai/sms.html, and the form itself on the opt-in documentation page.
The confirmation we send when you turn account texts on:
Sepia Labs: You're signed up for account alerts (setup + billing). Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
If you reply HELP to (855) 629-9802, we may reply:
Sepia Labs: Help with account texts: email info@sepialabs.ai or visit sepialabs.ai/sms.html. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
Message frequency and rates
Message frequency varies based on your account activity and your requests. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Supported carriers
Messages are supported on major U.S. carriers. Carrier support can change, and delivery is not guaranteed.
Privacy
Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share information with providers who help us deliver messages and operate the platform, only as needed for that purpose. See our Privacy Policy.
Messages from businesses that use Sepia
Sepia is a platform. Businesses use it to message their own clients, guests, and contacts. Those messages are sent by that business, under its own name, using its own messaging account and its own terms — not by Sepia Labs.
If you received a message from a business that uses Sepia and want to opt out, reply STOP to that message: it stops messages from that business. Replying STOP to a business does not affect messages about your own Sepia account, and vice versa. For access to or deletion of your information, contact that business directly — they control it.
Lava Lamp
Lava Lamp is a Sepia Labs product — the same company, the same messaging program, the same terms as everything on this page. An event listed on Lava Lamp is hosted by an organizer who uses Sepia; where that organizer has no business name of its own, the consent disclosure beside the phone field on its RSVP form names the sender as Lava Lamp (a Sepia Labs product), which is the same entity named throughout this document. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help there exactly as anywhere else.
